Every iPhone user knows how much of a hassle it is when the screen breaks on their phone. As tied as we are to our devices, a cracked screen can ruin our entire day and there isn’t much we can do to alleviate that feeling; from the heart-stopping moment that it slips out of our hands or slides off a counter to the moment, it is returned to us by a technician that has replaced it, a little part of ourselves breaks with it.

There is hardly a phone on the market that is resistant to this kind of damage. From the iPhone 8 all the way up to the latest on the market, the iPhone 14, and all the versions and variations in between, Apple’s flagship devices take a beating daily. Once a screen is cracked, no matter how significant, the problems can get worse and worse over time. Although you may be able to use the phone with a minor crack, it’s only a matter of time before that crack spreads and takes over more of the display eventually making it fairly useless and extremely frustrating.

Physically broken screens aren’t always the reason why your display could stop working. Typically made up of two parts, the screen assembly has a touchscreen (the glass) on the front with the LCD (the displayed images) behind it. When an iPhone’s screen stops responding to touch or acts as if it is being touched when it isn’t, the touchscreen may be faulty or defective. If the image behind the touchscreen looks distorted, all black or all white, or if colored lines are running through it horizontally or vertically, the LCD may have issues in which it would need to be replaced altogether.
In almost all cases, either or both components making up the display failing means the disassembly and replacement of both as a whole unit. The touchscreen and LCD panels are so extremely thin that they are shipped and replaced as an entire assembly.

The fragility and delicateness of the panels require precision disassembly by a properly trained technician to ensure that all the other components within are not damaged in the process. Apple has designed its phones in such a way that there is not much room inside for movement by any components to reduce the risk of damage from shock or drops. That being said, the iPhones should not be disassembled by anyone that has not been adequately trained to work on them.

Charging Issues

As constantly as iPhones are used by their owners daily, any problem when it comes to charging can wreak havoc and disrupt routines. A battery that isn’t holding a charge for very long can slow us down, cause us to be tied to a wall at times that are less than convenient, and, in some cases, can be dangerous in times of emergency.

Properly diagnosing a charging issue on any iPhone can be tricky because so many different components make up the entire charging system. The easiest part to diagnose is the charger itself. Made up of two components, the charger can be faulty because of the A/C adapter or the cable that connects it to the phone. The most common of troubleshooting techniques by any iPhone owner, trying a different charger is always the first step in determining a power issue.

When replacing the charger for an iPhone fails to get it working properly, the issue could be much more complex, unfortunately. A dirty or damaged charging port is the next, most common issue. Quick cleaning of the port can be attempted but extreme caution is advised because the small, delicate pins within the port on any iPhone can be damaged if too much pressure is applied to them, making it completely useless. Blowing out of the port with some compressed air and loosening any dirt or lint that may have accumulated inside is about all that can be done to try and clear out anything that may be preventing the charging cable from making good contact.

Liquid Damage Repair

As much as the iPhone has become such a huge part of the lives of so many people, accidents are bound to happen from time to time. Whether it is dropped into water or some other liquid is spilled onto it, the potential for the phone to never act the same way again is pretty high.

Most newer generation iPhones are built with a certain level of water resistance enabling them to withstand small spills or dips into the pool but this resistance is not intended for long durations of exposure to liquid. Any other flaws that the iPhone may have before being wet or having been previously repaired will leave the device susceptible to damage it was originally designed to withstand. I came in for a quite complicated issue I was experiencing with my computer. Jose was able to diagnose and repair my computer in just a few days. I’m telling you there was no answer to the blue screens I had on any help website or YouTube. I took apart and reinstalled every component and formatted all drives and was losing my sanity. Jose had it figured out and my computer is finally back in action for only 100 bucks. To start off my experience I was unsure of the store location and its reputation, but after talking with the computer technician my concerns were assuaged. He was fluent in his field, respectful, professional, and I could tell this store and their ideals really put the customers first. The computer I brought in was taken care of to the best degree and the technician was able to diagnose several problems. He was able to fix my PC in a timely manner and my PC looked brand new.
